In an interview with the Star, Popcaan said Carleene Samuels, a member of his management team, was instrumental in making the link between himself and Doggy Dogg’s camp.
“Carleene Samuels (my management team) is good friends with the executive producer of the Snoop Dogg project so she approached them like two months ago. She made the link already so when they reach we went to the studio and just listen to nuff different tracks,” Popcaan said.
Popcaan said he recorded three tracks for Snoop Dogg’s production team, one of which will make it to his upcoming album Reincarnated, due this summer along with a documentary.
“We meet and hol’ a vibe and write few songs and then we lay down about three tracks, so the album production team will have some different vibes to work with, so we don’t know which one will be final. So it’s not like we have a song together already,” Popcaan disclosed.
“Snoop was cool, and we chat and vibe. I introduced him to apple vodka and ting and he liked it so we just hol a vibe all night, was a ravin drink up link,” the Portmore Empire deejay added.
