The Bond Girl struggled to fit in during her studies at Cambridge University because she didn't enjoy binge-drinking and couldn't find common ground with her posh peers.
The 'Skyfall' star told Stella magazine: "I was nerdy... I'd have my head down and go home to my mum every weekend.
"I thought I'd be talking about my subjects until three o'clock in the morning, having these passionate debates."
Instead, she met loud-mouthed public school students who "threw up all over the college grounds and went skiing in the holidays. I was a real culture shock."
Despite her mother encouraging her to pursue her education, she worried Naomie wouldn't fit in because of her working class background and strong religious convictions, but the actress now thinks the experience was essential and says it changed her views on sex before marriage.
