[b]The brainchild of June and Tony Wong of Liguanea Drug & Garden Centre is, 10 years on, well established as the largest one-day art exhibition of its kind in the entire Caribbean. The Liguanea Art Festival celebrates its 10th Anniversary on Sunday, April 21, with the largest and best art exhibition ever at the original location at Liguanea Plaza in St Andrew. top visual artists who have shown over the years, will be back with new and exciting pieces on display for the thousands of patrons and visitors who look forward to this event each year.
The planning committee is working hard to make this festival the best and biggest ever, not to be missed by art collectors, art lovers, teachers and students. Over 90 painters, artists, sculptors, ceramists, photographers, jewellers and potters will display their pieces in person, and every item will be on sale.
The public will be able to interact with each exhibitor and learn about the artists, their techniques and their inspirations.
The artists will include well established sculptors like Gene Pearson and Laura Facey; photographers - Franz Marzouca, Howard Moo Young and Donette Zacca; ceramists - the Sinclairs and Phillip Supersad; jewellers such as Lady Gray and Nichole Superville-Hall, painters - Heather Sutherland-Wade, Alison West Martin and Nakazzi Hutchinson. Renowned artist, calligrapher and painter, Professor Du Juemin, who is doing a residency at the Confucius Institute at UWI, Mona, will also be participating. As always, Jeffrey Perry will do live graphite portraits.
Liguanea Plaza will be transformed into the most beautiful outdoor will display the largest collection of art, a feast for the eyes and ambience for the creative mind.
