Saint International model agency's CEO Deiwght Peters has announced that four of his new faces from the recently staged FashionFace of the Caribbean have earned international contracts.Peters noted that contracts for the winners were offered on the night of the event and the others by the end of the week following the event. According to him, a number of models from last year's batch of finalists were also offered contracts this year.
"This is yet another testimony to the quality of our new faces and scouting machinery," said Peters.
There were seven international judges representing major agencies and casting directors in New York. They included ELITE, MUSE, ONE Management, Request, Fusion, Wilhelmina, and Art and Commerce.
Among the lucky Saints are female title holder Kyisha Newman, who is now signed to ONE Model Management in New York.
Peters revealed that she had interests from several agencies. She joins legendary supermodel Iman at that agency.
Third place winner Suewayne Boothe, got signed to MUSE Models, New York, long-time affiliate of Saint International.
The top two males Renarco Spencer and Julio Salmon created history as they were both confirmed to join powerful boutique agency, FUSION MODELS.
At a time when the model successes are often defined by female models, two new male faces being signed from a single contest could be seen as remarkable.
Red Models re-confirmed Chadwick Simpson.
Peters revealed that Antonique Grant has been confirmed by an excited team from Request Models in New York.
Request is home to supermodel David Agbodji (ranked sixth in the world). Several other models including Olinthea Ashmeade and Shanice Cutino are on option for a number of the agencies.
The models are expected to start their international development programme this summer.
Over the years, the FashionFace of the Caribbean platform has distinguished itself as a consistent star-making machine for its winners and runners-up. Star models such as Shena Moulton, Ashane Rose, Orneila Edwards, Sosheba Griffiths, Sam Taylor among many others have launched impressive international careers in New York, London, Milan and Paris.
