GOSPEL artistes helped celebrate a welcome milestone in Spanish Town on April 14 with a concert celebrating a 36 per cent reduction in major crimes throughout the 'Old Capital'.
Held under the theme, The City Belongs To God, the concert saw spirited performances from Carlene Davis, DJ Nicholas, Jermaine Edwards, Lubert Levy, Kevin Downswell, Jaybez, Rondell Positive, among others.
"No more gunshot in Spanish Town. Mek wi praise Him. Spanish Town, we gonna take you back in the name of Jesus," declared Jaybez, who performed The Lord Is My Shepherd (based on Peter Tosh's Creation) and My Cup Has Overflowed.
The open-air event at Burke Road in the vicinity of the police station and Prison Oval also marked the fifth staging of Ten-Thousand Man and Their Families March, spearheaded by Bishop Rohan Edwards.
