Manchester High School has enjoyed unprecedented cricket success in recent weeks. First, the Mandeville-based school defeated Vere Technical High in the all-rural final to take the prestigious ISSA/GraceKennedy Headley Cup for the first time ever. Then, last week Manchester High went a step further, dominating Wolmer's Boys in the all-island final at Melbourne Cricket Club in Kingston to take the Spalding Cup.
Scores in the rain-hit, drawn Spalding Cup game: Manchester 236 and 186; Wolmer's Boys 92 & 117-9.
