She will become the first Jamaican female to compete in the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC).

Chang will compete in the Group Two class of the CMRC in her locally engineered 1995 Honda Civic hatchback. The car will sport a few changes to deal with the higher stakes racing expected in the class containing two overseas competitors.
She also signed on a new sponsor as she plans to do the entire series, not just this first local round.
"The Texaco/Chevron logo will be on my car this weekend and I'm hoping to work out a deal with sponsors that will allow me to go to the other two rounds in Barbados and Guyana. It's a while off, so I have time," she said.
The other consistent female racer at Dover Raceway, Samantha Summerbell, will not be taking part in the CMRC events.
"Sam's car doesn't fit into the current CMRC regulations. I know she would have loved to race with them, but maybe next year when the budget is there," explained her father David Summerbell Jr.
