MONTEGO BAY, St James — Eight-year-old Bliss McKay, student of Montego Bay Christian Academy school, walked away with the JCDC National finals trophy for the Most Outstanding Piano Performance in her age category at the Little Theatre in Kingston late last month.
Bliss was the top performer in the St James parish finals, receiving the highest scores and a gold medal in May, before going on to Kingston to compete on June 26.

She hails from a musical family, being the daughter of entertainer Mackie Conscious and piano tutor Candy.
She is also featured in some of her father's songs like Too Many Broken Homes and Nobody No Business, which she did when she was 6 years-old.
