Marvin Williams won a bitter-sweet gold in the men’s 400m hurdles with a personal best and World Youth Leading 50.39 seconds.
Jamaica however missed out on a second medal in the race as Okeeen Williams fell at the eighth hurdle with both men in medal contention.
In the meantime Christoffe Bryan took bronze in the men’s high jump with 2.16m as Jamaican improved its medal tally to four gold and two bronze medals.
This performance equals the best ever gold medal haul for Jamaica at the WYC after the country won four golds in their nine medal haul in Lille, France 2011.
