The Ocho Rios Seafood Festival returns for its seventh staging on Independence Day, Tuesday, August 6, at Turtle River Park, Ocho Rios, St Ann.
The festival was launched last Friday evening at Jack Sparroz Restaurant, Ocho Rios, with promoter Garwin Davis of Tropical Vibes encouraging potential sponsors and the general public to support the event.
Among sponsors confirmed so far for the event are Digicel, Rivva Riddim, Mandingo, Pure, Monymusk Rum, Jack Sparroz Restaurant, Liquid Nitro, and Ocho Rios College.
New this year, the seafood festival will feature an expo-like section called St Ann Village, where businesses can exhibit and promote their goods and services.
"This will afford businesses a direct link with customers," Davis told The Gleaner.
Also, this year sees more established and popular restaurants being part of the festival, to complement the expert chefs who have graced the festival over the years.
Among those already confirmed are Jack Sparroz and Mongoose Jamaica, both from Ocho Rios, along with Ziggy's from Twin Gates, and Port Maria Catering in St Mary.
