Alphanso Cunningham once again came up big for Jamaica as he landed the nation's first gold at the IPC Paralympic World Athletics Championships in Lyon France.
Cunningham achieved the feat in spectacular fashion by setting a world record 24.30 meters to win the men's F52-53 Javelin title.
Cunningham's gold has taken Jamaica's tally to two medals, one gold and a silver.
Sylvia grant picked up silver in the women's javelin earlier this week.
Meanwhile Jamaica failed to pick up a medal in the men's t46 400 meters despite having two finalists.
David Bascoe placed fourth in a personal best 51.32 while Shane Hudson who was favored for a medal did not start.
