On Thursday, August 15, Richard Yang, owner of the V Club in Independence City, Portmore, officially opened the doors of the establishment.
The place is superbly decorated with a deck on the top floor where food and cocktails are served, and the entire first floor, a club. The evening began with light music by DJ Leatherjacket and complimentary Smirnoff and Heineken as well as a signature cocktail, Smirnoff Sunrise, for the guests.
According to Yang, the place has all the modern elements of any first-world club.
world-class club
"We put a lot of thought into creating the ideal hangout spot - day or night. We have everything under one roof, a dining area, a lounge and a club with all the amenities that you would want. I believe patrons will love this place - the sound, the lighting, and the décor. It's all world-class," Yang said.
He explained that Thursday, Friday and Saturday are sponsored by Smirnoff and Heineken with specials on those nights - Ladies' Night, ViV and Quo, respectively.
"The club is branded by Heineken and Smirnoff. They have come on board as our major sponsors and supporters, and we are happy for that," Yang added.
Inside the club, guests were treated to a light show. The hundreds of lights in the club as well as the impeccable sound made the opening memorable.
After the show, DJ Firestarter enthralled the guests as the club opened to the public for Ladies' Night.
Nasha Douglas, brand manager of Heineken, said V Club shares many of the unique characteristics of the beer, and she is happy to be a part of the venture.
"V is hot and trendy just like our brand," Douglas said.
