Scent of success: Founder Nicola Elliott
Supermodel Kate Moss and actress Sienna Miller are among the fans of Neom Organics, a luxury bath, body and home fragrance products firm, who will be pleased to hear that it is opening its own shop in London next year.
Founder Nicola Elliott, who sold her car to invest in the firm alongside her friend Oliver Mennell, an investment banker, says she expects Neom Organics to turn over £5 million this year, an increase of 50 per cent on last year.
The former Glamour and InStyle magazine editor says: ‘Retail is the natural next step for us, because there is only so much you can get across on a couple of shelves. We are launching our first pop-up shop this Christmas and we are also launching a hotel amenities line. We are collaborating with a big designer next year.
‘Retail is bigger than online for us because it is important people can touch and smell the product. Now people know the brand we can sell online.’
Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, the business was launched in 2005 and sells products that contain natural ingredients. They are sold in more than 20 countries through 300 stockists, including Fortnum & Mason, John Lewis, Fenwick and Selfridges.
