Port Antonio, Portland — Raymond Campbell of White River in St Ann topped the 29th Stone Ginger Wine Canoe Tournament yesterday at the Ole Marina with a 510-pound marlin caught in the Boston area of Portland on the boat See Me.
Campbell explained the catch. "Just after the tournament started about nine o'clock in the morning we caught him and we had a good fight that lasted about three and a half hours.

"We couldn't even put him in the boat as we had to pull him in alongside the boat and tie him with rope with help from another boat. I am happy I win the tournament, I feel glad as I always wanted to win the tournament."
The tournament is arranged by the Portland Chamber of Commerce.
The regular tournament will restart today with the big yachts, as 18 marlins have been tagged and released with none landed after the opening two days, Monday and Tuesday.
King Fisher 11, Bye Pass, Feeva and Fair Prospect have landed two each, while Gabby Milian, No Problem, Head First, Daddy's Dream, La Nadine, Persistence, Too Contagious, U Sea Mi, Anticipation and the all Giggy Girls crew from Justeina, with one each.
