Residents of Tivoli Gardens and surrounding communities in west Kingston now have improved access to healthcare, following the re-opening of the Charles Chin Loy Health Centre.
The centre, which has been designated as a Type II facility, was refurbished at a cost of $31 million through the CHASE Fund.
Health Minister Dr. Fenton Ferguson, who officially re-opened the facility, said it is in keeping with the government’s plan to give Jamaicans more access to primary health care services.
The Charles Chin Loy Centre will provide maternal and child health care services as well as nutrition, paediatric and dental services.
