A new night spot has been introduced to the Corporate Area entertainment landscape courtesy of Pulse Investments Limited, and the proprietors are confident that they offer a unique experience.
Earlier this week, KGN8 was launched at Villa Ronai, Old Stony Hill Road, St Andrew. And according to Kingsley Cooper, executive chairman of Pulse, KGN8 will give patrons something new.
"We call KGN8 a party zone. It is unique and different from any party experience currently on offer. It operates on three building levels, as well as in a relaxed outdoor space. The top floor is an enclosed club level where the DJ is located and the main party takes place. It has a bar running the length of the northern wall, branded by SKYY vodka," he told The Sunday Gleaner, noting that the venue can accommodate up to 800 persons.
"Below is a semi-enclosed lounge with separate Campari and V/X bars. The third, lower level is a private space for special groups, events and party experiences. There is also an open-air Dunhill smoking lounge, separate from the other buildings and spaces. Some spaces are intimate, while others are fairly large. The total space is approximately 7,000 square ft," he said.
With the project very dear to her heart, Safia Cooper, sales and marketing director at Pulse, added, "KGN8 raises the profile of the nightlife landscape which supersedes a physical structure of say a nightclub. The entertainment opportunities at KGN8 are limitless as we strive to really enrich those social moments of our patrons, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the ethereal beauty of Villa Ronai whilst creating experiences unprecedented."
She noted that December will have a 'Blue Christmas' theme, as they partner with Skyy Vodka, and on December 7, they will partner with Zen Lounge for another event.
And for every Saturday that patrons enter KGN8, they will have access to a premium all-inclusive bar at $1,500 for women and $2,000 for men.
While Old Stony Hill Road might not be in the heart of Kingston, Kingsley Cooper said KGN8 will still be a regular spot for many.
The location was chosen "because of its unique beauty and suitability for the KGN8 concept. Part of the concept is the idea that residents of Kingston 8 need not go outside their community to party. The slogan, Play in Your Zone, is reflective of this concept," he said.
He continued, "Partygoers have always come to Villa Ronai and with KGN8, there is even more reason to do so. Villa Ronai is only five minutes from Manor Park and we plan to have shuttles running for the duration."
Mr Cooper was also very confident that KGN8 would not compete with Puls8, which is another entertainment spot located at the Pulse Complex on Trafalgar Road in New Kingston. In addition to targeting different groups, he said it was a "different concept and significantly more premium". He also noted that Puls8's big nights are Wednesday and Friday, while KGN8 is Saturday.
"We believe it is very sustainable. Our plan is for Saturday nights for a year, in the first instance," Kingsley Cooper said.
