R&B singer and ex-wife of the late Notorious B.I.G. , Faith Evans recently spoke on the unsolved murder of her ex-husband and why she has lost all faith in the Los Angeles Police Department finding his killer almost 20 years later.
Faith Evans stopped by Arsenio Hall’s talk show to speak on Biggie’s murder case and explains why they stopped sending money towards their effort.
“We just basically stopped spending our money on trying to hope that the LAPD was gonna do, you know, their part. You know what I’m saying? It’s not closed. It’s just a matter of when they really feel like they wanna do the right thing ’cause we in our hearts kinda feel like we know what happened and we believe that they know what happened. You know, we’ll probably be the biggest case in the city’s history.” (“Arsenio”)
Evans explained how she feels like the LAPD stopped putting in the time to figure out the case due to them not sending money towards the efforts anymore.
”So I’m sure – they don’t feel good about having to write a check that big. But for us, it’s not about that. We spend millions of dollars on lawyers fees, we’ve never gotten anything from it. It’s more about trying to do what’s right – for his family and his loved ones and his kids, you know. We definitely had gotten to a point where we realized that they may not ever happen and that’s really sad.” (“Arsenio”)
