Commonwealth Games athletes can see what they'll be fighting for at Glasgow 2014 after organisers unveiled unique medal designs for the event.
The medals were shown for the first time on Monday at a ceremony in Glasgow marking 100 days until the opening ceremony.
The gold, silver and bronze medals weigh in at 100 grams each and were hand made by a team of 11 specialist jewellery makers at the prestigious Glasgow School of Art.
They are designed by internationally renowned jeweller Jonathan Boyd and inspired by the "many elements of Scotland".
"These medals are the coveted prize that all the athletes coming to compete at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games have in their sights - the ultimate reward for all those years of toil, training and dedication," Glasgow 2014 chairman Lord Smith of Kelvin said.
"Our medals are unlike any I have seen before and are a unique representation of the stunning, contemporary vision of Scotland that will be beamed around the world."
The Commonwealth Games run from July 23 to August 3.
