JAMAICA'S Kurt Campbell stitched his way to the top of the fourth season of Mission Catwalk on the lawns of Devon House last Saturday.
As part of his prize, Campbell won an opportunity to show a collection at the Milan Fashion Week courtesy of Campari.
"I am lost for words. I am overly excited. It is unbelievable that I will be showing my collections in Milan which is the fashion capital of the world," he said.
The 25-year-old said that his success in the Mission Catwalk series has propelled him in the fashion industry.
Campbell said his designs are geared towards the 'well dressed' woman.
"What I used to determine a lady's fashion is the shoes she wears. Her shoes define the type of clothing that will fit her," he explained.
His other prizes include $500,000 funding to start his clothing line courtesy of NCB-SME, industrial sewing equipment valued at $200,000, a fashion editorial in Jamaque Paradis Magazine, internship with a regional design house, a Samsung Galaxy Tablet courtesy of Digicel and a scholarship to pursue a fashion programme at the University of Technology.
Mission Catwalk is a local reality series aimed at discovering and developing talented fashion designers.
