Chris O’Leary a beer blogger from brooklyn, was originally scheduled to depart Hopkins International at 7:15 a.m. But that flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems, so he was rebooked on a later flight, due to take off two hours later. But within a few minutes, Delta called O’Leary and informed him that flight too would be delayed.
When he finally decided to go to the airport, the blogger says he heard his name on the loudspeaker and was told all of the other passengers from his original flight had been rebooked on earlier itineraries.
"I was being paged about 40 minutes before my flight was supposed to take off -- because they were trying to get me on another plane," O'Leary told FoxNews.com. "I missed that window of opportunity, and when the gate agent said, "guess I have to go down and tell the crew we've got one for them," I was totally surprised. "One what? One passenger?"
But it wasn’t until he was onboard the aircraft, that he realized he was going to be the only passenger on the 76-seater plane. He quickly began Tweeting about the experience before take-off.
