The post shows the 29-year-old grimace while on a date with model David McIntosh during the show Famously Single.
Dorothy says this was the second time in which she's dealt with the "outdated" and "offensive" term.
"Ignorance is real," she says. "It makes me sad this is still our reality today".
The billionaire heiress made her name on the E! network's show The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills and is currently starring in the second series of Famously Single, made by the same network.Just shaking my head in disbelief... From constantly being called "oriental" (despite my attempts of explaining how that term is outdated/offensive) to being referred to as the "Japanese friend" (when they know I'm Chinese... and MY NAME, for that matter), the racial insensitivity and ignorance is REAL and not funny. This is my second show and unfortunately, my second time having to deal with racial comments. While I understand that it is reality tv and both the good and the bad is meant to be shown, it makes me sad that this is still our REALITY today and the behavior that we are putting out there on television. My culture and my race is something I've always been proud of and I'm tired of it being used as "a joke" or as a tool to belittle or diminish me (also- it's just played out, at least be a little more creative 😉). Sooo let's all buy a map 🗺, read a book 📚, travel to unfamiliar places 👀, learn to APPRECIATE and RESPECT other cultures 🙇🏻🙇🏻♀️, and not say classless, ignorant 💩(on and off camera) please!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ **** I am NOT speaking on those who genuinely don't know the correct terminology to use or inquire about my race! That is totally understandable, I know it can be confusing and I don't expect everyone to be perfectly PC... I'm referring to the deliberate use of race, culture, or ethnicity in a derogatory manner... and not respecting my many requests to NOT be called oriental
