Sugababes star Jade Ewen has fully transformed into pop icon Mariah Carey, making her debut in a new trailer for Netflix series Luis Miguel.
The 33-year-old British singer is set to portray the We Belong Together hitmaker in season three of the drama, which focuses on the life story of Mexican singer Luis who dated Mariah in real life in the 1990s.
In a new teaser clip shared this week, Jade is seen in character as Mariah for the first time.
She has a flirty exchange with Luis, telling him: ‘You’re very sure of yourself,’
Diego Boneta will reprise the role of Luis.
In August, Jade shared her excitement to step into the role, writing in an Instagram post: ‘It’s not everyday that you get the chance to play your idol. No words.. just infinite gratitude!!!’
The series was filmed in Mexico last year, and Jade appeared to prepare for the role in November by reading the book The Meaning Of Mariah Carey.
The singer first shot to fame representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009, singing It’s My Time accompanied by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber on piano.
