MONTEGO BAY, St James — The Mustard Seed Communities'- Blessed Assurance in Windsor Lodge, got a well needed boost recently when Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle player Ryan McBean donated water tanks valued at US$5,000 to the facility.
The 28-year-old McBean said he decided to assist the children's home following a visit there while he was vacationing in the resort city of Montego Bay last year.

"My girlfriend has volunteered for Mustard Seed in Spanish Town, and on my vacation last year, I began looking online, and found there was a community close by to my hotel. I visited the Mustard Seed in Windsor Lodge and instantly knew that this is an organisation I will continue to work hard on the field to assist,"said Mc Bean.
" I believe all persons should have access to basic needs such as constant running water. Born in Kingston, I was raised without having running water, and that inclined me to donate US$5,000 to purchase water tanks to ensure these children have what all kids everywhere should have every day."
Administrator at the Mustard Seed Communities — Blessed Assurance in Windsor Lodge Angella Graham told the Observer West that she is "eternally grateful" for the water tanks that have been donated.
"Ryan McBean wanted to do something to assist us. We have a lot of water problems in the community and because of the disabilities of our children we use water more than anything else. Water is more than life to us. We have to have water at all times for the children," she explained.
" After we explained everything he (Mc Bean) decided that he would assist us with the tanks. We received six tanks and a pump. They have really helped us out because sometimes water goes every week. We are so grateful to him for his contribution to our children."
Mustard Seed Communities'- Blessed Assurance is home to over 40 children with mental and physical disabilities ages two to 17 years. It is also home to pregnant teens and new mothers and their
babies
