I've held the position for a little over a year. It has been a great experience learning about the brands and helping to build them.
What's great about your job?
My brands are a part of people's everyday lives, and through Guinness, Dragon and D&G Malta we provide high-quality and well-loved beverages. The products have been well woven into the fabric of Jamaican culture - from sport and entertainment activities to some of our favourite recipes like Easter bun and egg punch. Red Stripe is a dynamic company, and the brands it offers are some of the best products on the market, I am proud to be a part of this family.
Tell us something we might not know about Guinness.
Guinness is made right here in Jamaica and is one of the best-tasting brews in the world. Nearly 40 per cent of all Guinness is consumed in Africa. Guinness is made from water, barley, roast malt extract, hops and Brewer's yeast. A portion of the barley is roasted to give Guinness its dark colour and characteristic taste.
Why are Guinness and Malta so attractive to customers?
Guinness is one of the biggest beer brands across the world. Guinness has long had a great association with music, entertainment and its consumers over the years. Malta, too, has become a household name in Jamaica and is a common fixture at many sporting events. We're passionate about our customers and as such are constantly looking at innovative ways to ensure a good relationship. We interact with our customers through social outreach, events and sponsorships.
Where can customers find out more about your brand?
Most of our leading brands have websites as well as Facebook and Twitter accounts. For example, all Guinness lovers can find out more about Guinness and what is going on with the brand, interact with other like-minded individuals who are Made of More, on our Guinness Caribbean Facebook page.
