Temptation to eat the sweet structure has had to be resisted as it has been on display at the attraction, for the last month.
But now the doll's house is up for auction in aid of Demelza Hospice Care for Children. Another, scale model of the castle will remain on show at the attraction until January 31.
Two metre wide replica of Leeds Castle features nine rooms in medieval and 1930s theme and is made of gingerbread and icing. Weighing in at nearly 10 stone, it took 550 hours to make and used 80 eggs and 20kg of butter and sugar.
A castle spokesman said: “The winning bidder will have the gingerbread creation delivered and installed by biscuit-maker extraordinaires, Biscuiteers, to their chosen venue.
“The gingerbread model is built to last approximately six months before signs of ageing will show.”
