All-U-Can-Eat Crab Evening

How much do Jamaicans love crab? A lot it seems! And nobody knows that better than multi-award winning caterer Lorraine Fung who proved her theory correct Tuesday last, on the grounds of the Whitehouse Restaurant on Seymour Avenue with her $1500 per person — All-U-Can-Eat Crab evening. Lovers of the crustacean arrived on the stroke of the 6:00pm start time for the flavourful oriental, garlic, spicy and curried crabmeat. Indeed there'd be no respite and Fung's pop-up kitchen was kept super busy as lines snaked all evening long. Other offerings included platters of curried and garlic butter lobster, steamed and crispy-fried escoveitch fish. Platters of chicken, beef and pork were also on offer.

As fingers deftly sought out the crabmeat, effusive praises were showered on Fung's culinary skills. Fung was herself delighted with the overwhelming turnout of patrons.
