THE book The Jamaicans — Children of God in the Promised Land highlights Dr Bryan's compelling personal stories and the strength and indomitable spirit of Jamaicans as immigrants in the United States and other lands.
A compelling and well documented historian and avid sportsman, Dr Bryan served as consul general to New York and 38 other states from 1998 to 2007, and as deputy chief of mission.
As deputy ambassador in the Jamaican Embassy in Washington DC, Dr Bryan has been honoured and recognised repeatedly in the Diaspora for his work in forging many beneficial relationships, and treaties between the Jamaican and Caribbean communities and the African American people.
The event also highlighted the book Reasons to Believe written by Marcia A Harris MD.
Proceeds from both books will benefit "The I Believe Foundation".
