Naomie Harris has been appearing in films and television from the age of nine. During 1987 and 1988, she starred as Joyce in the series ‘Simon and the Witch’. From 1992 to 1995, she played Ami Jackson in the sci-fi series ‘The Tomorrow People’. During this time, the actress also had a role in a children's adventure series titled ‘Runaway Bay’. Then in 2000, she performed on stage, in the play ‘The Witch of Edmonton’. Two years later, she got featured in the flick ‘28 Days Later’ as well as in four episodes of ‘White Teeth’.
Naomie Harris was born on 6 September 1976 in London, England to Lisselle Kayla. Her mother served as a screenwriter while her father was a fashion designer. Naomie is of mixed ancestry. Her parents separated even before she was born.
Her mother later remarried and gave birth to her two half-siblings. Harris was educated at St Marylebone School and later enrolled at Woodhouse College.
In 1998, she graduated from Pembroke College with a degree in social and political sciences. The actress then trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
