Jordanne Delahaye, Gleaner WriterWhether its name has something to do with it or not, Famous in Portmore has been growing in fame since its opening night on Friday, May 17. In less than a month, this hot spot has consistently delivered entertainment presented by some of the finest DJs in the business and a few celebrity hosts, all so that patrons can experience the 'Famous' lifestyle.
With a full roster of themed nights already thrilling patrons, Famous Nightclub has decided to make Thursdays all about the 'Famous' ladies, with Diva's Night Out (DNO).
"Well, we have a state-of-the-art club that has a huge sound, and incredible lighting - this sets the stage for an epic experience. We are all about the ladies every night, but we specifically chose Thursday nights to spoil our ladies and prepare them for a fun weekend," Kevin Bourke from the Famous Nightclub team revealed.

And the club is going all out to make sure its 'Famous' divas are well taken care of. There is free entry for females right through the night, and the DJ for the night will be playing music specifically for the female audience.
Bourke also shared that the club has teamed up with Wray & Nephew Rum Cream and will be offering drink specials to complete the 'Famous' experience.
"We want you to walk through the door and feel famous. We are delivering a premium product to Portmore and surrounding areas and we have also made our drink prices very affordable in this tough economy - but we still need to dance and live. Life is meant to be enjoyed and we want to help Jamaica have a good time," Bourke added.
Bourke's most memorable moment(s): "The series is still young and while there have been many great moments so far, I know there are greater to come!"
Tip: Ladies, bring your dancing shoes and dress to impress because you are famous.
To the Gents: Don't feel left out - make sure that you are looking fly and you are ready to experience a night where the beautiful women of Jamaica and beyond are the centre of attention.
